Hi! My name is Tyler and I invented the Wiper Wave. This is how it happened.
It was December of 2010 and while home for the holidays I went for a drive with my sister, Liza. We slowed to let someone merge in front of us, but the person never waved thank you.
They didn't acknowledge us, like we had acknowledged them. We started talking about how much it affects our mood when drivers don't wave thank you.
Tyler: "It would be funny to make a hand that attached to our rear windshield wiper so people couldn't ignore us saying thank you."
Liza: "You should do that!"
So I did.
The Wiper Wave has come a long way since the first one I bent out of wire, but the intent is still the same: making our roads a happier place to drive!
